Wagtech Projects success at World Meteorological Exhibition in Amsterdam

It was great to personally receive a delegation from the Malawian governments Department for Climate Change and Meteorological Services. (DCCMS) . This was at the World Meteorological exhibition in Amsterdam last week . Held in parallel with the World Meteorological Organisations (WMO) annual conference, many visitors and potential clients benefited from learning more about Wagtech Projects wide range of products and services, especially throughout the African continent.

The highlight was the recent signing of a joint-venture contract with Nowcast in Germany, for the supply of lightning detection systems in Malawi. Funded by the Green Climate Fund ( GCF) and procured through the United Nations Development Program,( UNDP), this represents a three-year long-term agreement ( LTA) with the Malawi Government. Accurate forecasting and detection of lightning weather patterns will now be possible on a countrywide basis. Wagtech Projects, through its local office in Lilongwe, Wagtech ( Malawi) Ltd will be supporting this ambitious nationwide Initiative via a full installation, commissioning and training program, including the provision of maintenance services throughout the LTA contract.

This all represents a continuation of Wagtech Projects market expansion within the sub-Saharan African region, Including the opening of Wagtech offices in Ghana, Uganda, Kenya, Malawi and Zambia “
