Comprises 6 sensors for measuring all the key weather parameters; wind speed, wind direction, air temperature, relative humidity, rainfall and solar radiation.

An 8 channel datalogger is used to collect and store the data which can then be retrieved using either the 2 metre RS232 cable and a laptop pc on site, or alternatively by using one of the remote connection options listed on page A33. The unit is powered by internal alkaline batteries which, under normal use, will last from 4 to 6 months. Supplied complete with data transfer software.

Our standard systems use the most common sensors. However, a wide range of additional sensors are available for use with the weather station. These include light sensors such as PAR quantum, UVA, UVB, as well as tensiometers, soil moisture and water level. Please contact Wagtech International if you require a non-standard weather station using these sensors.

The standard weather station is supplied with a 2m long RS232 communications cable and standard downloading software. A laptop computer is required to retrieve the data on site. Additional software is available to display the data, build graphs and windroses etc, and to monitor the operation of up to 25 weather stations.

• Permanent cable link which is used with mains power supply, and the communications distance is no more than 50m
• Permanent cabel link also uses the mains power supply for distances up to 1km
• GSM modem unit is available in order to enable communication with the station 24 hours a day using the local cell phone network
